I am sure you have heard that it is the little things that matter in life. I've
heard that all of my adult life. And I agree wholeheartedly. I think that is
truer for widows than for the rest of the world.
The big picture of our lives is sort of overcast by our overwhelming loss. So,
it is important to take solace in the little things in life, the little
victories.
For example, at work, I get excited about finding a cool pen. A note from a
friend. A phone call right when I need it. Sending an e-mail to a friend right
when she needed the pick-me-up.
I am sure you can think of all kinds of 'little things' in your life that make
you smile. And help to make life worthwhile. Hang on to all those little
things. They will get you through all the rough patches.
Have a great day. |
